Maori people have a unique language and culture, which

The Maori people are of
Aotearoa and first arrived in waka hourua ( canoes) from
their ancestral homeland of Hawaiki over 1000 years ago.
Today, Maoris comprise app. 14 percent of the New
Zealand population. Their language and culture has a
major impact on all facets of New Zealand life.

comprised of a diverse and multicultural range of people
that are friendly, unique, inventive and resiliant
